@landsdown44 No, those that do believe in Jesus Christ and ask Him for forgiveness will be the ONLY ones that ultimately go to Heaven . What more is there to be said? If a homosexual goes to Hell (or a straight person for that matter) it will be because the individual REJECTED Jesus Christ–not because of their homosexuality.

@FORMETOKNOWONLY I know how severe this sounds, but it isn’t our righteousness, it is a righteousness from God that comes through abiding in Christ. You might accidentally sin and for this we repent daily as Jesus taught us, but willfull sin is quite different. To think adulterous or murderous or covetous thoughts, to sit at the computer with the intention of viewing pronography, this is an act of will that opposes the grace of God, anyone doing these things is not in Christ.

@servant714 According to your logic no true Christian sins willfully? Uh, huh. So, essentially you are saying a true believer in Christ can lose grace and salvation.

This isn’t addressed to you but to those that may be reading this that they know: When you confess your sin and ask Jesus Christ to save you that settles it. Your sins are forgiven past, present, and future.

When he died for me 2000 years ago ALL of my sins were in the future btw. A word to the wise is sufficient.

@landsdown44 Yea, he is a post-modern prophet, alright.

Jesus Christ came to save that which was lost. Somehow that gets lost in McLaren translation. I am a babe in Christ myself, but know enough of the Gospel not to buy what this wolf in sheeps clothing is selling.

@FORMETOKNOWONLY the false gospel gives a false security that you just ask forgiveness and now grace is a license to sin, if you knew what sin does to the heart of God, if you loved God, you would run from sin because of what it does to Him. You walk in the flesh and cannot accept spiritual things, lean not on your own understanding but in ALL YOUR WAYS acknowledge Him. The Christian life isn’t possible by any fleshly attempt, it is by faith through grace.

@FORMETOKNOWONLY Apparently you don’t have the capacity to know what it is that Brian McLaren has said or written that is offensive. Just how does McLaren miss that Jesus came to save that which was lost? So far I have not seen one post that can show just what McLaren has produced that is against the Gospel. Huh.

@landsdown44 He doesn’t seem to take a position one way or the other, which I opine so that this new doctrine doesn’t upset the sensibilities of the world. No, I don’t have the capacity to accept it.

I remember Christ saying something about salt, you get what I am saying.

This movement is just another indicator to me of the “emerging” ecumenical movement (which in my mind isn’t a good thing).

These are evil days friend and many are being deceived, I want you to know the truth not to win a debate, debates do not glorify God, I want you to be like me, a watchman to warn the sleeping virgins, the day of the Lord is very close.
